Can I Please Blog Now?!
AN IRRITATED BLOGGER'S USER REVIEW
I hate to blog about Blogger again, but I'm not using Blogger to blog at the moment. AGAIN.
Or maybe it's Google's fault. I dunno who, but I'm kinda getting sick of this. AGAIN.
“Cuz they said it would be easy!” (you'll hafta watch the original Perfect Blue in English dub to get that whine quite right.)
Yeah, until you try to LOGIN. When the heck CAN one login? I just tried to comment on TXSharon's Christmas message and couldn't. Or something else she wrote? Oh yeah, it was the Edwards bit. Anyway, I figured my login got screwed up again, but my comment wasn't important enough to sit there and figure it out or ask for my password to be reset. AGAIN.
Then I popped over to Salt to see if anything Tracy said was true and elaborated on there (no mention). But I could comment logged in as my old account, since it was created on the old Blogger. Then I came back here after being reminded I was supposed to continue writing on CCD.
Nope. Can't log in. AGAIN. At least it said “Sorry, service is currently not available. Please try again later.” so I didn't keep trying.
I used to do this stuff “the hard way”, and thinking of going back to it because, well, this isn't “faster” if it takes several tries—and sometimes days--just to get to the dashboard.
Heaven forbid the screaming you're gonna hear when my old blogs are “transferred”. Apparently Salt's still untouched due to being (thankfully) a “team blog”, and saved for last.
Also, what the heck are the new features? I see nothing thusfar but ones TAKEN AWAY:
1. The new dash is nowhere near as intuitive to initially get into.
2. Where the heck is the “blog this” button on other sites? Please let me that's a temporarily missing item. I use it a lot.
3. Why is it now so hard to customize the templates?! Why doesn't html suffice?!
I'll add the rest of items missing, but can't think of them right now and, um, can't login to refer to them. AGAIN.
